Are you interested in learning Hand Embroidery? The "in-person" Embroidery by Hand for Beginners course is for you. Join Renee as she teaches the techniques to make beautiful hand embroidered creations.
Students will meet 1 time per week for 4 weeks. The instructor will provide the iron, iron-on transfers, embroidery floss, cloth to learn the stitches on, and even the projects. Students will make a baby bib, flour sack dish towel, an apron, and a set of pillowcases.
Students may also choose to bring an item of their own such as a t-shirt, sweatshirt, dress, etc. in lieu of embroidering the apron or pillowcase.
Students need to bring to class a set of embroidery needles, 4-inch embroidery hoop (bamboo or plastic - student choice), thread snip or scissor, and pin cushion. Optional - something to carry items in.
Classes meet on Monday at United Technologies Center, 200 Hogan Road, Bangor on the following dates:
October 24 & 31.
November 7 & 14.
UTC Adult Education will refund students if the course is cancelled because of low enrollment.
